Other Info: Henry Sever Lake is located in southeast
Knox County, one mile north of Newark. It is 158 acres and has a maximum
depth of 27 feet. Water clarity has increased recently, with visibility
ranging from 40 to 60 inches. Scattered submersed vegetation and standing
timber are the most common fish habitat. An effort is underway to establish
largeleaf pondweed, commonly known as cabbage. Muskies were originally
stocked in 1996. Muskie regulations include a 42-inch length limit and a
daily limit of one fish per day. Outboard motors in excess of 10 horsepower
must be operated at slow, no-wake speed. Facilities include a concrete boat
ramp, rental boat, barrier-free fishing dock, fishing jetties, picnic areas,
accessible privies, hiking trails, horse trail, and camping.
